Grants and Recognition

Riley School is honored to receive support from both the Ohio and Kentucky Arts Councils.

OH Arts Council Logo
  • Maggie Michael and Marta Cook have completed their first year Ohio Arts Council Traditional Arts Apprenticeship grant for harp instruction for 2023-2024, and are now starting on their second grant year for 2024-2025.
  • Brian Ó hAirt and Kathy Schneider were awarded and completed an Ohio Arts Council Traditional Arts Apprenticeship for traditional singing for 2019.
  • The Riley School of Irish Music was awarded the Ohio Heritage Fellowship for Community Leadership for 2018.
  • Beverly Buchanan and Tim Clarke were awarded and completed a Traditional Arts Apprenticeship for 2017.
KY Arts Council Logo
  • In recognition of artistic excellence, Justin Bonar-Bridges and Emmanuel Gray participated in the Kentucky Arts Council's Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship for 2017, which is supported by state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Ohio ACE Program Logo
  • The ACE Educational Savings Account program provides qualifying families with a $500 credit that can be used to pay for a variety of enrichment activities that will accelerate learning for students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
