Community Band - The Roving Rogues
The Riley School community boasts a number of performing ensembles. The following associated bands are comprised of both current and former teachers and advanced students. They regularly perform in both public and private settings. Please contact the person listed in the band profile for further information and booking.
The Roving Rogues are a group of experienced traditional musicians specializing in the dance music of Ireland. We play both lively, session-style sets (jigs, reels, and other tunes played on fiddle, concertina, accordion, and flute, accompanied by bouzouki or harp) and danceable, ceili-band style sets (accompanied by piano and drums). We have performed for regional celtic festivals, pubs, St. Patrick's Day celebrations, ceili dances, and private parties. For several years, we have anchored the all-star ceili band at the Dayton Celtic Festival's popular street ceilis. We can provide a sound system.
